I have realised that its been over 6 months since I've posted anything on here! Got loads to report too, I'll try post a few things up over the next few days. Well Mitch has been with us for about 9 months now and what a cheeky monkey he's getting... Such a brave boy he's really loving life now. He is the soppiest dog ever! I just have to say 'Kisseeeey' and he tilts his head, then pounces on my and starts rolling on his back and pawing at me... sooo cute! He and Monty are getting on fine, the odd scuffle but not very often, mostly over food... but Mitch is more toy orientated anyway. Mitch follows Monty everywhere, he's so predictable. Love love love our poochies!
Since I posted last we've been on another wellies and Paws walk which i still need to purchase some pictures off Jon and Emma! We had a lovely time at the Wiccaweys summer dog show, where we saw Pete Twonsend from the Who and Monty and Mitch came first in the 'Best Pair' class! We just had a lovely Christmas too, Mitch's first Christmas with us. More about those to follow...

More progress...
This weekend I discovered Mitch's obsession for water... He's not been properly swimming yet but when I got the garden spray gun out he went mad and started chasing the end trying to bite it! So I moved it round really quick and it was hysterical! I must get some pictures or video. He's always showing new signs of enjoying his new life and coming out of his shell more.
Today Don told me Mitch and Monty walked all the way home from their lunchtime walk holding on tightly to the same football with their mouths, he says it was sooooo funny and he was laughing all the way home...
Monty has been a bit too desperate for his food at mealtimes lately and has been a bit naughty with me. I'm trying to show him that I'm the boss and I always make him sit or give me his paw or some other commands before he gets his dinner but he acts like he hasn't been fed in a week! We're going to see Sarah and Paul at Wiccs on Thursday too, to get some advice. But we're working on it! :)

'Wellies & Paws' in Peterborough
We had a fab time at the Wellies and Paws walk in Peterborough yesterday! :) After a minor hiccup involving me getting lost because my Googlemap didn't make sense, having to be rescued from a nearby pub by Shaun and holding everyone up for about half an hour I arrived to a big cheer! How embarrasing!!!! Anyhow it was great, the weather was perfect and it was a great sight to see nearly 30 collies all off lead running around playing together. Monty was off having the time of his life and Mitch was having a great time socialising. I let him off a little but kept him on a long lead a lot too as this was our first walk. I think next time he should be able to go off lead properly, but he loved it! Everyone who approached us seemed overwhelmed with the amount of dogs coming towards them. LOL

Toffee, Whizzies dog, disappeared part way through the day, she must have been in bits, I know I would have been, but after a search party went out Bridget found her doing circles near the car park all panic stricken. But now she was safe and sound, she must have been having so much fun she forgot to follow everyone! But a happy ending at least :)
We stopped at a cafe and some people had a bite to eat and drink while we chatted. Spoke to Shaun a bit about his bike and told him about Don's obsession and htey should get together for a ride out sometime!
Then after that we did one more walk around the lake, got caught up in a mini storm and got soaked, so on the way home the car stunk of wet dog. But all in all a fantastic day, really enjoyed it. It's nice to get together with a load of people with the same passion. Can't wait for the next one!

One month in...
Well Mitchey has been with us for just over a month now and settling in fantastically well! Monty can have his bossy/greedy moments but i have really seen them bonding from the tug of war play together from more recently sleeping cuddled up in one dog bed together... Mitch wouldn't even go in a dog bed alone when he first got here! They sleep upstairs most of the time now, and quite often I've woke up to the sight of Mitch on his back, legs spread. :) That's a great sign of contentment.
Also Mitch doesn't lie down when I put his harness on him for walks, in facts it takes me five minutes to stop him doing the collie wiggle around the hallway as he is so excited he's going for a walk! He still absolutely hates walking by the road, but quite the opposite on the field playing fetch. He's getting to fetch the ball/frisbee more often than not now as Monty gives him his chances, but still not quite got the hang of bringing it all the way back yet.
He went to the vets and had his second jab and health test so all up to date now on that side of things. He loves his food, he gobbles it all up and I can see he's slowly putting on weight as he was at least 5k underweight when we went to the vets.
Well tomorrow we have our first 'Wellies and Paws' walk in Peterborough, looking forward to that!

mmmm tasty
O dear I've been a little bit naughty as I got bored and decided to check the build quality of my daddies puffa jacket which he forgot to put away.....fyi the quality was of a fluffy nature and easily distributed all around the kitchen in bite sized chunks. Oh and for added measure i also wanted to test my brothers bed pillow.....tasted quite nice at the time. Daddy came home and took one look at my work and told me that he still loves me but thinks he needs to buy me some other things to chew.
My daddy too me and my best pal monty out for a really long walk after and it was really cool as im now beating monty to the frisbie more often but i havent quite got the hang of bringing it back all the way to daddy yet. I also see these large noisy things on the tarmac river which still scare me but my dad and monty always reassure me so i keep on walking with them. I've met a lot of new friends too on our walks some are really big and the size of....well my daddy but others look just like me and my Brother so they may be family!? Anyway we all checked each other out and played with each other which i really liked so I'm happy about my new home. Can't wait to be allowed off the lead like my bro but daddy thinks we still have a while before i can be trusted but im working on it!
That's all for me now, im now off to chew my parents table leg
